I've been gone a long time. I've written, but it hasn't been on a computer,
I've just written in my diary, just a bunch of riff raff. What defines a 'writer'?
Is one considered a writer only when he/she has written numerous books? Or is a writer simply someone who is just a writer, say someone who just writes down ideas or thoughts, poems or stories? I'd like to consider myself a writer. I write feelings and thoughts almost all the time, it's just that no one really knows about them. Well I'm here right now at work and haven't written on this page for such a long time.

YES WE CAN!!!

Well yes yes yes yes yes, we have our first African American president
and I have to say that I was in tears as I saw Barack Obama being sworn in!!
Almost 2 million people attended this event yesterday and you can best believe
that we will be talking about for the next 2 terms of his office!
My only wish is that Obama gets as much sleep as possible. I heard that he and
Michelle attended 10 innaugural ball last night. But didn't they look fantastic!!
Michelle looked stunning and Obama looked so cute and confident. Beyonce could of done a better job singing at last but hey, she wanted to do her part. My heart feels glad today and I'm so proud to be an African American! OBAMA YA'LL!!!

We're born to unlearn...
I had this conversation with my Father a couple of days ago. I've had this saying in my mind for a while now as well. I've discovered that we are all born to unlearn what we've learned. We're born pure. We learn, we get sad, we get mad, we get dissapointed, we get jealous, we grow to be envious. All these qualities are not Godlike qualities of the human existence. However, we've been taught all these traits not by fault, but just out of human nature of being learned and passed down generation to generation. The truth is ignorance is bliss. But I guess we have to learn in order to go through this thing called life. But at times the things that hurt become easier to bear once you understand that this is just a stage of life. We have many stages to perform on I believe. We should just relax and go through life and whatever we've learned that we don't like we can just unlearn it. The truth is it's easier said than done. That's why we're here to learn and unlearn.

I really dont feel like writing anything today but I'll write because this is some very nice music and its relaxing me and I dont want to be in my apartment right now. So I'll just keep writing until something happens until I get inspired again. Yes yes yes I'll just keep on typing until the sun shines, until I get that call, yes I'm gonna conjure up something dammit. Today is Saturday and I'm gonna create, gonna create, yes yes yes, this is what aspiring writers do, they write until something happens until an idea pops up, well nothing yet, no Harry Potter novels here. Ok so what can a 35 years old goregeous woman write about that has no, ok thats more like it. Something was going wrong on my computer. so anyway i dont feel like even punctating write i dont care wirte now im just gona type until something happens POST!

When a Child Smiles..
When a child smiles at you and lights up your heart, take that as the most wonderful compliment in the world. A child is nothing but innocence, beauty and spirituality. They're the closest creatures to God. When they look at you and smile, that must mean that they see something in you that is still good, still pure, still innocent. It gives me a hope when a child smiles at me. It's like they are saying that we're still good and that we have a chance to make good things happen in the world. A child smiling at you is uplifting!

Red line train to Grosvenor

It's always a more pleasant ride home on the metro when I take the red line train to Grosvenor instead of Shady Grove. This is only understandable to us DC folk. Anywho, I work in DC but live out in MD and take the train in to the city daily. On the way back home which is White Flint Mall I have a choice to either take the red line to SG which is a nonstop ride home, or I can take the red line to Grosvenor which means I have to get off at G then wait for the other train to take me home. For some reason I choose to do it that on the way home during rush hour only because not very many people choose to take that route home so I get less people on those trains. It's so much more pleasant because I don't get all the tourist with their screaming kids, or the people chatting loudly on their cell phones. The ride is usually alot more quiet and that's the one I prefer. Yes, I may have to suffer a stop at Grosvenor but it's worth it to have the majority of my ride peaceful and not so crowded. Now I can only hope that not too many people catch on.

The Dream

I had the coolest dream last night. I dreamt that I was a superhero and my hair was so long. I could fly, change shape, climb buildings, jump, leap, see from far distances, and most of all kick ass! I love those dreams! Anyway, in the dream the world became angry with a black woman superhero, so I decided to hide my identity and live among humans. But there was a secret girls society that was dedicated to continuing my legacy. They were bothered that the world would not accept a black woman being a superhero so they chose to have a society that would protect the people in disguise. They were like guardian angels. Well once I had found out about this society I decided that I was going to come out of hiding but first I would secretly teach these woman how to fight, and I would give them some of my powers. But I taught them through a video tape so that they could be protected. They would watch my videos and learn how to fight and protect and once they passed the test I would give them some of my powers. In the dream I gave all the women of the society a beautiful crystal staff that they would carry with them all times on the streets, however the staff was disguised as a cane and they could use whenever they seemed necessary. This staff was amazing it could shoot lazers, it would glow in the dark, it could cause little quakes. They were like fighting sticks and the women were taught how to use them. I remember in the dream that I secretly came to their place where they met and I saw all of them were so happy and grateful that they received these staffs and I could see how they were appointed to guard the streets and be superheros. So I finally made my appearance to these women and they were so happy that they cried, and I cried as well because they taught me that I was doing a good thing and that I should not hide that. In the end I flew up into the sky and waved down to the women in the secret society and told them that it was their turn now to save the world! THE END
